About two weeks ago, Chad and I learned that we were officially approved to adopt a child thru the Adoption Option parnthership thru the Village and Lutheran Social Services. We started the process in September so it was close to 9 months that we were in the approval process. We are thrilled to actually be a waiting family. We know the journey is still long and hard but at least we're making progress to achieve the dream we have also wanted-to be a mom and a dad!
We have a busy summer ahead of us with three weddings in June, a trip to Minneapolis for my birthday and several motorcycle trips planned. We had a nice Memorial Day weekend and spent Memorial Day at the Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan, ND honoring the service men and woman. It was really cold out there but it's the least I could do to support what a special place.
